1. Start with the Job Title or Skill Use the search box to enter the role, skill or keyword that best describes what you are looking for. For example: Sales Manager HR Manager PHP Developer Accountant Supply Chain Digital Marketing Business Development Project Manager Tip: Try different variations of your target role. A company may advertise a similar position using a different title. 2. Search by Location If location is important to you, narrow your search by city or preferred location. You can search for opportunities in locations such as: Jodhpur Jaipur Delhi Mumbai Bengaluru Hyderabad Pune Chennai Ahmedabad Udaipur You can also consider nearby cities if you are open to relocation. Tip: Don't restrict your search too early if your skills are in demand across multiple locations. 3. Search by Industry Think about the industry as well as the job title. For example, an HR professional may find opportunities in: Manufacturing IT Healthcare Education Retail Hospitality Financial services The same job title can involve very different responsibilities depending on the industry. Tip: If you have strong industry experience, combine your functional expertise with that industry when searching. 4. Check the Experience Requirement Before applying, compare the vacancy with your actual experience. Ask: Does my experience match the required range? Have I handled similar responsibilities? Am I applying at the right career level? Do I meet the essential qualifications? Does the role require industry-specific experience? A strong match is generally more useful than simply increasing the number of applications you send. 5. Read the Job Description Before Applying Don't apply based only on the job title. Read the complete description and look for: Responsibilities What will you actually be expected to do? Required skills Which skills are essential? Experience What level of experience is expected? Location Is the position office-based, hybrid or remote? Ind
Before clicking Apply, use this quick 5-point check: Check Question Role Is this the type of work I want? Experience Does my experience match the requirement? Skills Do I have the important skills required? Location Does the location/work model work for me? Career Fit Does this role make sense for my next career move? If the answer is mostly yes, the vacancy deserves closer consideration.
One of the easiest ways to miss relevant opportunities is to search using only one job title. For example, someone looking for a Sales Manager role could also search: Area Sales Manager Regional Sales Manager Business Development Manager Sales & Marketing Manager Territory Manager Key Account Manager Similarly, an HR professional could explore: HR Manager HR Generalist Human Resources Manager Talent Acquisition Manager HR Business Partner Recruitment Manager The same experience can be described in different ways by different employers.
Freshers Focus on: Entry-level roles Graduate trainee positions Internships Junior executive positions Roles where your education and skills are relevant Don't reject an opportunity simply because the title is different from the title you imagined. Look at the responsibilities and learning potential. Experienced Professionals Focus on: Relevant functional experience Industry expertise Leadership responsibility Measurable achievements Career progression Compensation and location At this stage, applying selectively can be more productive than applying everywhere. Senior Professionals Look beyond the job title. Evaluate: Business responsibility Team size Reporting structure Revenue or P&L responsibility Geographic responsibility Strategic scope Industry relevance For senior professionals, the right opportunity is often about scope and impact, not simply designation.
More applications do not automatically mean a better job search. Instead, divide opportunities into three groups: High Match Your experience, skills and career level closely match the role. Prioritise these applications. Possible Match You meet many requirements but have one or two gaps. Review the job description carefully before applying. Low Match The role requires experience, qualifications or skills that are significantly different from your profile. Consider spending your time elsewhere. This approach helps you build a more focused job-search pipeline.
Don't rely on memory. Maintain a simple record of: Company Job title Location Date applied Source Resume version used Application status Interview status Follow-up date After 15–20 applications, review the pattern. Are you getting: No responses? Review your targeting and resume. Recruiter calls but no interviews? Review your screening conversations and role fit. Interviews but no offers? Focus on interview preparation and communication. Your job search should give you information about what is working and what needs to change.
The current Jobs section lets you search live openings across industries and locations. You can search by job title, skill or keyword, select an industry and specify a location. Start your search: Find Jobs → Search → Review → Match → Apply If you have a resume, uploading it can also help you use the site's candidate tools, including AI Fit Scores where available.
Don't ask: "How many jobs can I apply for today?" Instead ask: "How many relevant opportunities can I identify and pursue properly?" A focused job search gives you a better opportunity to tailor your application, prepare for the role and understand whether the position actually fits your career direction.
